EmoWave, multimodal platform
Solution overview & system concept
Our proposal builds on EmoWave, our proprietary multimodal integration platform, already implemented, tested, and validated for synchronizing EEG with other biosignals, and actively exploited in ongoing multimodal applied-neuroscience projects.
This same EEG and fNIRS combination has already been used successfully in neuroscience clinical research, and EmoWave has separately validated EEG-Shimmer synchronization. Integrating all three modalities is thus a minimal, low-risk step, not new development. These three wearable units, plus a companion computer handling audio and central recording, are synchronized via Lab Streaming Layer (LSL) — the open, de-facto standard for multimodal biosignal sync, natively supported by our EEG, fNIRS and IMU/PPG technology partners. Every modality publishes an independent, timestamped LSL stream, merged, buffered, and transmitted via a documented API to a GDPR-compliant backend.
