HighSSA (High Speed Spectrum Analyzer)
HighSSA (High Speed Spectrum Analyzer) is a next-generation electronic warfare module for ultra-fast radio spectrum monitoring and passive triangulation of signal sources in real time.
The technology enables scanning a frequency range at rates from 100 to 1,000 scans per second, significantly exceeding the capabilities of existing portable analyzers. This enables timely detection and tracking of radio emitters, including electronic warfare (EW) systems, radars, drone control channels, video transmitters (VTX) and tactical radios.
HighSSA’s technological core is high-speed signal processing implemented on CPLD/FPGA, providing near-instant spectral analysis and output of results as digital codes of frequency and signal level. This enables passive triangulation systems for precise localization of emitters.
It is designed as a compact, mobile module with up to 5 hours of autonomous operation and can be integrated into larger reconnaissance and strike systems. The system is fully passive (no self-emission), making it difficult for adversaries to detect.
The solution is developed in close cooperation with Ukrainian partners, based on combat experience and the urgent EW needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. While addressing current challenges of modern warfare, it also remains applicable for future military, civilian, and security use worldwide.
The main objective of the team is to advance the technology from the current maturity level TRL-2 (concept developed and individual components validated) to TRL-4 (laboratory prototype) via the Moonshot Track.
Nevertheless, it has strategic potential to become a core module for modern radio-electronic reconnaissance and counter-EW systems.
