PPP-AR for GNSS Spoofing Detection and Source Estimation

Our solution tackles one of the most pressing threats to navigation security: GNSS spoofing. Our solution is a software-only spoofing detection package that works with a single GNSS receiver and requires no extra hardware.

We go beyond traditional signal monitoring by combining Precise Point Positioning with Ambiguity Resolution (PPP-AR), statistical anomaly detection, and machine learning models to continuously assess the authenticity of each satellite signal. We generate a real-time spoofing probability score by detecting subtle shifts, drifts, or inconsistencies in GNSS observables. Suspicious signals are automatically excluded from positioning calculations, ensuring users maintain reliable position, velocity, and timing (PVT).

Our solution is different because our system detects spoofing and estimates the spoofer's location using Doppler-based analysis, providing actionable intelligence for countermeasures.

With a prototype already under development, we are building towards a demonstration in which we will detect and reject spoofed signals in real-world conditions while pinpointing the attacker's source.

Our vision is a lightweight, modular, and easily integrable software package that turns any GNSS receiver with raw data tracking into a resilient, spoof-resistant navigation tool.
