We are developing a fiber-synchronized aerial Time Difference of Arrival (TDOA) localization system. Drone-delivered optical fiber connections provide the required time synchronization and data transfer, even in contested electronic warfare environments. By mounting receivers on tethered aerial platforms, we achieve a better line of sight to emitters, which increases the signal-to-noise ratio. Operating completely passively, the system enables highly accurate localization of jammers as well as drones and their remotes (uplinks and downlinks).
